The truth is the result depends mostly on three things: how each piece is cut for your exact model, how the surface is prepared before installing, and how the film is fitted panel by panel, without a blade on the paint. A real PPF installation starts long before anything gets applied.

The real process

Phase 1 · Assessment
Before installing any film, we assess the true condition of the paint: we don't guess, and we don't apply the same coverage to every car.
Phase 2 · Digital cutting
The film pieces are cut using a precision digital plotter, from patterns specific to each model.
Phase 3 · Installation
Installation happens panel by panel, with the right pressure and temperature so the film bonds without bubbles or tension, and with a fit a hand-cut piece can't match.

Ceramic coating mainly cares for the finish: it repels water, makes washing easier, and adds chemical and UV resistance. About the price
We see very different quotes for "the same film" because the installation is almost never the same. The price depends on the type and quality of the film, whether it's cut by digital plotter or by hand with a blade, the coverage chosen (exposed areas or full coverage), the paint's prior preparation, and the real warranty behind it. A very low price almost always means a hand cut, no patterns, no preparation.
