No empty promises

What it really protects.
And what it doesn't.

01 / IT DOES PROTECT

Against this, yes

REAL PROTECTION

A properly applied and cured ceramic coating genuinely changes how your paint ages and how it gets dirty day to day.

  • Oxidation and chemical attack from environmental contamination.
  • UV radiation and gloss loss over time.
  • Water spots, tree sap or insect marks, easier to remove.
  • Friction when washing: less rubbing, fewer new marks.

How long it lasts depends on the product, exposure and ongoing maintenance.

02 / IT DOESN'T PROTECT

Against this, no

NO MIRACLES

Being upfront about this is part of doing our job properly: a ceramic coating isn't armour.

  • Stone chips or gravel impacts: that's what PPF is for.
  • Deep scratches that reach the metal.
  • Poor washing, with harsh products or dirty cloths.
  • The passage of time, with no maintenance at all.

A well-applied ceramic coating protects better and lasts longer, but it doesn't replace everyday care.

Ceramic or PPF?

They're not exactly equivalent alternatives. Ceramic coating mainly cares for the finish: it repels water, makes washing easier, and adds chemical and UV resistance. PPF is a real physical barrier against stone chips and certain scratches. Explore CARPRO IMMORTAL PPF.

The real process

Preparation. Correction.
Application. Curing.

These are the four phases that truly determine the result. Not even the most expensive coating makes up for poor preparation.

Phase 1 · Inspection

We measure
before we act.

Before applying any coating, we assess the true condition of the paint with measurement tools: we don't guess, and we don't apply the same treatment to every car. The question is never whether polishing is needed, but what level of correction it needs.

  • Paint thickness (µm) across every panel.
  • Gloss levels and surface condition.
  • Level of correction needed: basic or full.
  • A CARPRO product recommended based on the data.

Phase 2 · Correction

Technical polishing,
before the ceramic.

Before polishing, the car goes through a technical 3-pH wash and chemical (iron) and physical (clay bar) decontamination — a mandatory step, not an optional one, in any paint correction. Applying a coating over unprepared paint doesn't correct anything: it seals in the defects that were already there. That's why we correct micro-scratches and defects with a technical polishing process, panel by panel, under RUPES's international protocols.

  • 3-pH wash and chemical and physical decontamination first.
  • Technical polishing with specific pads and compounds, under RUPES protocol.
  • Correction of micro-scratches and holograms.
  • Real preparation before protecting, not a generic step.

Phase 3 · Application

Application,
step by step.

Applying ceramic coating is a meticulous process: the exact amount of product, controlled movements and the right timing before removing the excess, panel by panel.

  • CARPRO product applied in the exact amount needed.
  • Controlled movements, panel by panel.
  • Excess removed at the right moment.
  • No rushing: the result depends on this step.

Phase 4 · Curing

A space built
for ceramic coating.

Our curing chamber is central to the process: controlled temperature and humidity, free of dust and contamination, so the coating cures under the best conditions before your car returns to the road.

Budget and timing

Every car gets its
own assessment.

Complete ceramic treatments start from €900. The final quote and timeframe depend on the paint's real condition, the level of correction it needs, the product range and the coverage chosen — paint only, or also wheels, glass and interior. In your assessment we'll explain what the quote includes, how it's calculated, and the estimated timeframe for your car. A complete ceramic treatment usually takes about 2 days, and if you need a car in the meantime, a free courtesy car is available. Timeframes are always estimates: every job takes a different amount of time, and we never sacrifice the result to hit a deadline.

A little clarity

Before you decide.

What is a ceramic treatment?

It's a complete process, not just a product: technical assessment of the paint, preparation and defect correction, ceramic coating application and curing under controlled conditions.

How long does a ceramic treatment last?

It depends on the CARPRO product chosen, exposure and maintenance. We'll confirm expected lifespan and warranty terms in your proposal.

What maintenance does it need?

Regular washing with the right products and, depending on the product, periodic check-ups to preserve its hydrophobic properties and gloss.

Is it worth it on a new car?

Yes. The sooner the paint is protected, the better its original condition is preserved from the very first mile, before daily use begins.

Does ceramic coating replace regular washing?

No. It makes washing easier and repels water and dirt, but the car still needs regular washing to keep the result.

What are the downsides of a ceramic treatment?

A ceramic treatment doesn't make the paint indestructible. It won't stop stone chips or deep scratches, it needs proper maintenance, and poor washing technique can still cause marks. Its main limitation is also why preparation matters so much: the coating protects the surface it's given, but it doesn't correct its defects.

Ceramic or PPF, which one should I choose?

They're not exactly the same. Ceramic coating protects chemically and makes maintenance easier; PPF is a physical barrier against impacts and scratches. They can be combined in the same plan.

What determines the price and timeframe?

Complete treatments start from €900. The final price depends on the paint's real condition, whether technical polishing is needed first, the product range and the coverage chosen. We'll explain what the quote includes and the estimated timeframe in your assessment.

How long does a ceramic treatment take?

A complete ceramic treatment usually takes about 2 days, including preparation, application and curing. If you need a car in the meantime, a free courtesy car is available.

Do you work by appointment only?

Yes, always behind closed doors. Every car and every client deserve total privacy, so we assess each car before defining the right protocol and product, with no other clients present.

Do you welcome cars from outside Vélez-Málaga?

Yes. We welcome cars from all over Andalucía — Málaga city, the Axarquía and other provinces — looking for a private, high-end detailing studio.
