Fred brought his Jaguar to SW Studio in immaculate condition. For us, his trust carried particular meaning: this was someone with a long history in professional detailing, choosing who could work on his own car.
A life in detailing
Fred built his career caring for exceptional cars. A 2018 profile in The National traces his beginnings washing cars as a teenager in London and his work at District 31 in Dubai, preparing luxury cars and supercars with meticulous attention to their finish.
More than two years looking
In his review, Fred explains that he had spent more than two years looking for a company in Spain that approached detailing with passion and dedication. His priorities were specific: the water used, knowledge of products, equipment, lighting and a controlled working environment.
Before entrusting us with his Jaguar, he visited the studio. We used translation tools to bridge the language barrier. As he recalls, within minutes we realised we shared the same understanding of professional detailing. A handshake was followed by a quotation and a detailed description of the proposed work.
The blue that came to light
Using our PPG Link digital colour matching system, we were able to identify the exact colour and paint formulation of his Jaguar.
The most personal part of his review is his description of the colour. Fred says the car was not black, but navy blue, with coloured particles he had never seen before. For us, that is the heart of this story: helping an owner rediscover a car he already knew so well.
